Minivegas : Old Spice Mr. Wolfdog

For Wieden & Kennedy Portland and Old Spice, Minivegas helped a wild animal reach the pinnacle of success by becoming the Chief Director of Marketing for Old Spice. The “Mr. Wolfdog” campaign was a completely immersive social marketing campaign that fired on every single cylinder imaginable. On a Monday morning, Minivegas took over all of Old Spice’s social channels (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc) with messages from Wolfdog. Then each day featured more and more content, including a series of How To Films, an eye contact website www.teachmetojob.com , and many live streaming stunts via Google Hangouts, uStream and Xbox Live. Minivegas handled all content for this campaign including website and banner ad creation in addition to live action production, post, and animation.

For the live events, Minivegas created a WebGL application that tracked Wofldog’s movements and allowed us to turn his “speech collar” into an audio reactive piece of software. With a toolbox of video elements, cables, adapters, and caffeine, Minivegas were able to control Wofldog’s every movement and live interaction with Old Spice’s fans for 5 days until the corporate world got it’s best of Wolfdog and he went his own way. This was a perfect mix of their capabilities and a great brand to work with, whose fans are the best of the best.

The campaign was a huge success, reached millions, and garnered lots of great press from Ad Week, Creativity, Mashable, Fast Company and more.

Uncorked Studios : “Cinemama” for March of Dimes

On behalf of the March of Dimes Foundation, BBDO New York contacted Uncorked Studios to create a fun and informative tool for women to learn about, document, and track their pregnancy. Uncorked were asked, as a part of March of Dimes’ 39 Weeks campaign, to design and build an iOS application to help women admire their growing belly and embrace the many feelings that come along with it.

The campaign was already a remarkable endeavor to spread the word about research showing the importance in carrying normal pregnancies to full term, so we were delighted to be included in the first place. Additionally, the concept was for a helpful product that would genuinely connect to the users and be representative of the March of Dimes mission.

rehabstudio – Citi Snow Globe

Citi Snow Globe was developed and produced for Publicis Kaplan Thaler who approached rehabstudio with the concept. The Citi Snow Globe allows you to create a unique video of you and your friends frozen in time inside a life-size snow globe at Bryant Park in New York City. 16 images and video are all shot simultaneously to create your frozen moment.

Instead of renting a camera rig, rehabstudio decided to build it themselves, using standard consumer hardware – 16 touch cameras, 2 tablet computers, a router and a laptop computer. They created a suite of custom iOS apps, synchronized to control the experience which enabled the cameras to be controlled remotely across a WiFi network. The software provides full control over the shot, providing the operator with full control over white balance, exposure and focus.

After the shots are taken the images are transmitted to a local server to compile and render the video sequence, encode it to MP4, and deliver a link to the web based, shareable video to the recipient via email.

Uncorked Studios : Bambu website

Bambu reached out to Uncorked to help them redesign and develop their website experience to better meet the needs of a diverse customer base.  The Bambu site Uncorked created makes use of a responsive, mobile-friendly Shopify framework. Doing this allowed Uncorked to focus on customizing an existing theme to address customer’s needs as well as addressing the pain points that bambu’s internal operations team was experiencing with the existing site.

In addition to the design and development tasks, Uncorked streamlined internal systems by bringing cohesion and ease to purchasing/fulfilling orders by integrating the site with applications such as MailChimp and Lettuce to further automate the process.

Colorfield : Chevy Silverado

Colorfield partnered with Goodby, Silverstein and Partners on the design and development of the launch site for the 2014 Chevy Silverado – Chevy’s biggest seller. This ambitious site is an immersive, html-based experience using parallax backgrounds and content with subtle animations to create a seamless, single-page browsing experience. The site includes photographic backgrounds with CG vehicles, videos, photography and subtle animation effects to bring the truck to life.

In addition to the desktop site, a full version of the site for mobile devices was designed and developed.

Colorfied partnered with Dojo in San Francisco on the development of a site to launch Nvidia’s premium GPU, the GeForce® GTX TITAN. Titan brings the powerful NVIDIA© Kepler™ architecture technology that drives the Oak Ridge National Laboratory’s Titan supercomputer to your gaming experience.

The site is a simple html-based experience that relies heavily on shots that showcase the beautiful industrial design of the GPU.

Colorfield : American Express

Momentum hired Colorfield to work on the development of a touch-screen experience for their client Amex. The touch-screen-based game, similar to ‘concentration’, allows users to match Amex small-business products and services while trying to beat the clock. The installation debuted at CES in Las Vegas. Winners from each day were given a tablet.

In addition to the main kiosk, Colorfield developed an Android tablet based practice version of the game that allowed players to brush up on their knowledge before playing in front of a live audience on the big screen.

Colorfield worked with Carmichael Lynch on the creation of their annual ‘Dog Tested’ online campaign. The campaign launches to co-incide with the Superbowl, giving non-football fans an engaging way to pass the time during the game. This year’s Facebook-based experience included the ability to create a license for your dog (from a State of your choice), the opportunity to chat with a Subaru expert dog in real time, and also helped to find the perfect Subaru for your animal friend.

Honest : Capital One

Honest directed 4 spots for Capital One promoting their new Mobile app. The App lets you bank where ever so you can keep doing what you’re doing, even if you’re shredding guitar on a flying asteroid — like DragonForce, the power metal band known for their extreme skills at shredding.

Along with DragonForce, the other spots feature a ventriloquist, a DJ Un1corn and modern dance.

Honest worked closely with R/GA to develop the visual language and humor for each spot, executing a unique treatment to fit each type of scenario. Whether it be the outer space finale for DragonForce, the gorgeous 80′s style double-exposure for ‘Dummy’, or the over-the-top glowing horn on the mask of DJ Un1corn, Honest wanted to stick their toe out past the edge of going too far.

Joao’s unique background in both new business and interactive production makes him a perfect fit for our innovative approach to digital representation.

For the past five years, Joao has worked in all facets of the advertising world, from accounts and new business to big-budget commercial productions and run-and-gun, guerilla style jobs for every platform imaginable. As a digital producer for Isis worldwide for the past year, he has overseen several large-scale integrated campaigns, website builds of all sizes, social media app development and experiential displays.

Prior to that, he spent four years at Saatchi & Saatchi, New York where he worked as a new business associate, coordinating projects between the creative, strategic planning and the production teams, and later as a creative project manager and producer on the Toyota account.

Born in Portugal on April Fool’s Day, he moved to the United States in 1987. He has bachelor degrees in finance and economics and Master’s degrees in marketing and international relations and diplomacy from Seton Hall University. He is fluent in Portuguese and Spanish and dabbles in photography and digital art after hours.

The ID Corp : Wii U & Paper Mario Banners

The ID Corp was busy in November, creating almost 100 different banners to help launch the Wii U, Paper Mario and other new Nintendo games. Many of these banners were bilingual, and in just about every banner size you can imagine. Add to that a YouTube page, and ID Corp played an integral part in spreading the word about the world’s favorite Italian plumber.
