rehabstudio : ArtCade for iD Gum and Droga5

Kind of a Gallery, kind of an Arcade. In collaboration with Droga5 New York, rehabstudios launched ID Gum in the US with an amazing multi platform game platform: ArtCade.

On the back of packs of gum, kids would find 18 pieces of artwork from up and coming artists that can be scanned by iPhone, iPad, android or via the website. Scan the artwork to unlock it in your gallery, then flick the switch from Gallery to Arcade to unlock an awesome computer game.

rehabstudio concepted and produced a handful of games for the platform, and commissioned and managed a team of incredible illustrators from around the world to create the games.

This was a huge integrated project, publishing the platform and games to three separate platforms, utilising the Adobe Air, Facebook App store and the rehabstudio campaign platform.

Driftlab : Neuro HTML5 Mobile Game

In order to help Neuro beverages introduce themselves within Walgreen’s stores, Driftlab designed and developed an HTML5 bowling game for Y&R that allowed users to bowl for a coupon on their mobile device of choice. Not an App, and not Flash, this unique game boasts some cutting edge HTML5 finger flicking technology under it’s hood.

Potion / Perch : Woolite Interactive Display

Potion/Perch created this simple display for the WooliteWashed pop-up boutique in New York City in conjunction with Iris Worldwide. When a visitor first approaches the display, two Woolite bottles sit on the table, surrounded by an animated background of bubbles that respond to the wave of one’s hand. Visitors are instructed to “TOUCH CAP”. Upon doing so, four colorful bubbles rise up from the bottom of the display, surrounding the bottles. Each bubble asks a question such as “How to Keep your Brights Bright?” When a user touches the bubble, the bubble flips around to reveal the answer.

The interaction, while simple, is effective in that most people who touch one bubble will ultimately touch them all. In doing so, they will spend more time with the product, and will begin to think about the product in a new way, which is the goal of the experience and of the WooliteWashed pop-up store as a whole.

Colorfield : Canon

Colorfield worked with St. Joseph’s Content on the creation of a site to help aspiring photographers learn about the basics. The site helps users better understand how aperture, shutter speed and ISO work in concert as well as the basics of exposure, depth of field and capturing motion.

The site is an HTML-based experience that simulates a digital SLR, allowing users to play with the camera’s settings to get the perfect shot. A bank of several thousand images correlate to the settings the user adjusts, giving them an accurate and real-time snapshot once they take a picture. The site also includes a learning section that covers the basics and a test mode that challenges the user to take specific shots with the simulated SLR.

Driftlab : Aflac Facebook App

Driftlab was proud to help Digitas Boston and Aflac raise money for kids with cancer by creating a Facebook App and virtual rubber ducky race. Those who donate to the cause get their own Aflac rubber ducky and a virtual duck that will race others on the aforementioned App. The winning duck gets a family vacation in Orlando, Fla.

Colorfield : Yahoo! Cybergeddon

Pereira and O’Dell enlisted Colorfield to work on the development of Yahoo’s Cybergeddon teaser site. To create the site, Colorfield integrated Facebook’s Graph API, Mocha Tracking in AfterEffects and 3d planes in Flash.

The experience begins with the user being invited to connect with Facebook. Once the connection is made, a ‘hacker’ takes over their screen and shows them their ‘stolen’ Facebook details superimposed in various high profile areas in Times Square.

Uncorked was proud to be tasked with the design and development of this ground breaking App. Trapit connects you with articles on topics that you care about. Born from DARPA-funded research at SRI and a sibling to Apple’s SIRI assistant tech, Trapit’s machine learning bypasses the web’s SEO-driven priority by harnessing peoples’ behavior to hone discovery of articles that match the user’s passions.
