Ahead of the release of their critically acclaimed con artist drama, Sneaky Pete, Amazon Studios partnered with Initiative, Rapport WW, and Thinkingbox to create an engaging OOH lie detector activation. In this experience participants took on the role of the con artist and had to lie their way through several tricky situations, akin to the show’s anti-hero, Pete. All the while face-tracking and real-time biometrics analyzed the user’s reactions and vitals such as heart rate, perspiration, and temperature to determine whether or not they were a convincing liar.
Our team handled the complex software and hardware integration of the lie detector kiosk in addition to overseeing the physical build. The interactive experience took place at the popular shopping centre, The Grove, and connected users to the brand and show in a new and exciting way. In addition to the kiosk, we developed a website extension based on the OOH experience to further engage with fans at home which went on to see over 1.2M impressions and won several industry awards for its interactive features.
